don't know if had been posted yet, but on Halloween SSL put out a spooky plugin free for registered users.

Can't beat free! I actually liked some of the effects (howling was pretty sweet, delay decent). Might actually be really cool for whipping up some texture/ambient stuff.

It's not AWESOME, but certainly usable. I think it'll come in handy for a few projects, maybe something in the background in a mix..


But, can't beat free!

Sounds great on already growled vocals, you can switch from scary black-metal overtones to grunts at the turn of a knob. I can see it being very useful for raw BM stuff, Burzum, Wolves in the Throne Room etc.
