Freedom Call

They're definitely on my wishlist, along with Falconer, Vanishing Point, and Shadow Gallery. I love their first few albums, and I think they're latest offerings are still pretty good.

Their lyrics are out right silly...

a good example being...living in a fairyland

Seriously guys, you couldn't come up with something better than, living in a fairyland?

With that said, they are a fun band to listen to and I would enjoy seeing them live.

I really only like one song by Freedom Call and that's it, but i have to admit i have most of their albums from my Power only era of 02, 03.

Well, he did book Power Quest, who probably are about as cheesy.

I hope you do all realize that I was joking... While I'm not a fan of Freedom Call, Falconer, OR Power Quest, they certainly wouldn't be bad bands to book by festival standards... Just because I don't like them doesn't make them wrong for this festival. Hell, if Glenn booked based on that criteria, we would never see another prog band again, it would be called Brentpower!

so wait.

glenn is not much of a prog fan?

I don't like Freedom Call. I think there are better cheesy power metal bands in the world that should be booked instead of them. I have plenty of times expressed how I feel about the band. I don't like their music and yes, I have made fun of it. However, I do respect the guys in the band immensely. I know for a fact they're a bunch of hard working dudes who believe in their music and do it because they love it. That alone deserves my respect.

That being said, if they were booked to play ProgPower, they would be my dinner band. Then again, you *never* know. Maybe I'd watch a song or two. They'd either win me over or be the reason for my jokes for the rest of the weekend.
