How does £215 shipped sound? Anyone? C'maaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnn!!!!!

Mattayus, I'm currently looking at getting a Hot Plate but might consider the Palmer...
What's the story with it being a "speaker simulator"?
I just want a good load box that allows me to output the signal from the amp to my interface so I get the full signal chain (poweramp & preamp) with impulses as opposed to using just a preamp out or something.

Yep, you can do that :) It is a speaker sim, but it has a blend of sim vs raw signal from the head, too. You can dial the sim completely out, though, giving you totally raw head (pre and power amp) signal, for you to load impulses onto.

Here's a clip I made with my 5150 + Palmer + impulses - http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4128689/5150 Test 2.mp3

Sweet! Cheers for the info and clip.
What are the chances on you lowering your price though? Checking the conversion rate, it's about 286 EUR - ouch! Also concerned about shipping to Ireland.

Absolutely man, that was the first price I posted, and forgot to lower it like I had elsewhere. I'd be willing to do it for £200, + postage (probably about another £15-20 for Ireland). So more like £220 all in all (€250~). How's that?

That's actually not bad at all dude. Let me talk to the missus and see if I can swing this past her - only got a Peavey 6505, a TS9 and a Countryman DI last week!

I just don't need it man! Well, it's half that I don't need it, and half that I need other gear/bills paid more. I'd love to be able to afford to hold onto gear that I'm not going to use an awful lot, but right now I need to strip back to the bare essentials unfortunately :(

Yeah, I know what you mean man, just picked up an '03 Toyota Corolla as well as the gear I listed above so I'm fairly strapped. I don't get paid again until the end of the month, but I'm defo gonna try take this off your hands as I don't have a cab for my amps, but would be quite happy recording with impulses!

Same here dude! I don't have a cab at home because I borrow one at rehearsal, and at the studio where i track.

If you're 100% on wanting to take it I will hold it for you until you can pay. Let me know man
