Fuck Compaq

says it all, really. Macs are just fashion icons. I'll admit, they do look quite nice, but there are some damn sexy pc cases.

yum.

I do, actually. HP make some damn good pcs, and their laptops are among the finest.

And, of course, they've moved into the gaming sector now with Voodoo, and the Blackbird.

that case is sex, even if the actual pc is a ripoff.

I found Mac no easier to use than a PC. It was harder in fact due to there stubborn refusal to realize it is no longer 1981 and include two mouse buttons. Plus there is the fact that a large amount of software is not made for mac. I don't really care what computers other people use but pompous Mac users are pretty annoying

I'm not being pompous, I'm just offering sound advice, based on actual experience. I've used PCs for over a decade and have always encountered problems, problems which have been significantly reduced since I got a Mac.

And I didn't get my Mac because it's stylish. It was forced upon me by my school. And in retrospect I'm glad they did.

Macs are overpriced garbage.

The commercials for them are also nauseating. Nothing makes me want to buy a product more than having my intelligence insulted for 45 seconds.

I hate how Mac users act like their systems are just as affordable as PCs, when in actuality they cost several hundred dollars more. Not everyone can shell out $2K for a iBook, or whatever. The difference gets even more ridiculous when looking at desktops. Even if I were to agree that they were better (which I don't) I still could not afford one. Same with an iPhone. I'll take my free phone with the contract; I can't pay $300+ for a phone, regardless of what it does.

I was forced to use shitty Apple computers all through primary school and junior high. Never again will I use one.

I am currently building my own PC with Intel Core 2 Quad . Which will give me some 10GHz of CPU power. I would seriuosly like to see any Mac stand up to that.

Seriously, you want security just go mac. I mean mac can do pretty much anything a PC can do but sleeker and nicer. I have an iphone and it can play movies. I don't know what the deal is with people who buy DVD/HDDVD/BluRay players. You have to go buy the disc, which is bigger than the iphone (that tells you how obsolete they are) and you have to manually insert it into the player. I'm not a manual laborer, I am an artist and I don't want to have to waste space on having a green-unfriendly post consumer waste Disc case plus the disc itself which I suspect isn't biodegradable and probably has carbs (I have a carbon footprint of 0 btw). I mean you get itunes and your iphone and you have your movies. Iphones do more for world peace and the environment than any ugly PC and obsolete technology. Al Gore has an Iphone and he won a nobel prize.

This post was a joke incase you guys couldn't tell.

The only thing worse than a Compaq is an Acer.

Fuck you bromato, I don't know what Acers you've used, but mine's great.

Same here. Crashed every ten minutes

I have an Acer monitor. Great for the price. Except that it takes 5 seconds to turn on because it insists on displaying the Acer logo, as if it wasn't already on the monitor. Sounds trivial, but it bugs me.
