It's those basically's and "within certain limits" that really bother me about sandboxes. I tried Sandboxie at one point and found the added layer of security wasn't worth the headache. The variation in how programs operate create too many possibilities for error. I don't see how this is a replacement for portable applications because in most cases where you would use portables you also wouldn't want to (or couldn't) install a sandbox application. Also, PortableApps.com specifically created a standard where the drive letter never matters, and the boundaries of the program never leave the folder where the programs resides. So I'll stick to my portables.
