Fuck it, I think I'm just getting a Honda

when you drive the stop-go traffic every day, an automatic is much better than a manual. beside, it lets you sleep/masturbate/read while you drive cause all you do it gas brake gas brake gas brake gas brake. 5 feet at a time!
yeah but you have to be pretty fucking stupid to subject yourself to living in conditions like that anyway, so when you're already being stupid then you might as well get an automatic as well

I hate options. I was very hesitant getting my WRX with power windows and doorlocks, but those are standard equipment so it didn't jack up the price.

@gugs ... what CITY are you talking about?

the long stretches of open road in greater NJ? or the stop and go of the boroughs and Manhattan?

haha. Hardly being stupid. When you live in a city with the worst transit system ever. You end up getting stuck in that. I'd prefer not to live in the city, so hopefully I won't end up getting an automatic.

I drive in the city ALL the time, and I drive 5x as much as anyone here, and I never have and never will drive an automatic.
That's what I'm talkin' 'bout, yo.

I even have a bum left (clutch) knee, and I still drive stick.

My dad is 6'3" btw and has played hockey against dolph lundgren and is a cab driver so he drives a lot and still prefers manuals because he is heterosexual and has, together with his lovely wife, raised four now strong, decent and admirable young men.

I drive IN Manhattan at least 2x per week, and northern/central NJ and Long Island aren't exactly "wide open spaces."

Can we get back to talking about the awesomeness of that Honda I plan on buying?
I'd totally drive one, even a base model with a no-fun engine. Even with that weirdo speedometer action, it's still an awesome car.

the only thing I don't like about the Civic, is the crowd its associated with ... I know its stupid, but certain cars remind me of certain groups ... they should not, but they do

well. some people like cities. I guess.

I hate cities. Only reason i'd live here is because I had a job there. And I'd be actively looking to GET THE FUCK OUT asap if I did. I hate the city. Always will. I'd rather work a shitty job than live in the city, but If I have to live in the city to get some work experience so I can get the hell out, I'll do it.

While the lb-feet of tourque kinda sucks (only 137 vs. nearly 200 hp), I know they make a kickass Vtec engine, so I ain't worried.

Plus it has 17" alloy wheels (win), a jack for my iPod (win) and a fucking satellite nav system! (super win). All for less than $24K.

If the dealership would just call me back, I could go get some actual pricing.

I could not possibly care any less.

My 62-year-old father who just had an angioplasty does love his Mini though. :)

That's almost an endearing characteristic of driving a performance 4-popper though, you have to keep it revving high for it to do anything. Well, except my manly 217-lb/ft at 4,000rpm, but I rev it high anyhow. :goggly:

The main difference is those ricer fags usually have an '89 Civic DX with 9 different colors and 67hp instead of a nice performance vehicle. But yeah, I understand. Fuck those dudes.
