i figured out that the more extreme and angle in which a rubberband hits a wall, the farther it bounces back. if you hit it straight on, it only bounces back a few inches, but if you shoot it up, it flies pretty far. i made it hit the wall and fly over my desk the long way. and the desk is about 2 feet away from the wall. pretty cool.
 
You should totally try to create a chain of cause and react rubber bands to bounce around a corner and knock over a styrofoam cup of water onto your boss' important papers!
 
Or: take this study a little further and figure out at what angle people will get the most pissed off when you hit them directly with a rubber band. Start with the boss and go down the food chain. Maybe even see if there are notable differences between male and female, and possibly even test with projectiles instead of just rubber bands (ie, paper clips, spit wads, monitors).
