just plain awesome !

and the production / mixing sounds the best of all their albums..

what do you think?

They recorded it at Longwave in Wales with Romesh. He does a lot of that style in the UK. A lot of his productions sound very samey.

Personally I still prefer the production on Casually Dressed And Deep In Conversation (Colin Richardson ftw!) but Romesh has deffo done a good job! Cracking album too!

I love the abum. It' amazing, so much beautiful melodies to find.

But sadly I think this is not Romesh's best work,I have to admit that I was in love with the latest EP sound...
This album sounds very inconsistently, imo, and the guitars don't sit in the mix very well(except Welcome home(track)), it lacks glue, imo.

But anyways, I love the band and the sound doesn't destroy the album.

Not a fan of FFAF, but this album is quite good. I usually like Romesh's work, but I'm not a fan of the mix on this album as well, agree with guitars not sitting very well, mainly the leads are quite distracting

Something quite cool I just noticed about the vocals on this album... at times Mathew's vocals are hauntingly similar to Nathan's from Boysetsfire. Awesome stuff!

I preferred the production on hours, does anyone else think that guitar tone was perfect for the genre?

I think it's a matter of personal preference. People seem to think FFaF's best production/album is a different album than someone else might choose. Personally, I've enjoyed the production mixing and guitar tone on all of their albums... it all just seems to fit with whatever the album is at that time, and that includes the new one as well.
