like em, havent really spent alot of time listening to them, but i wanna get some CDs but dont wanna buy all of em. Which are some of the best? recently and from the beginning?
 
Yea, "Land Of The Free", I don't have "Powerplant", but I like "Valley Of The Kings" EP From 97th, don't know if the song is on some of their album aswell, I bet You don't wanna buy EPs...

Valley of the Kings is on the Somewhere Out In Space album. Great song!
 
Understandable, it's REALLY HAPPY Power/Speed. :p

But the things that separate it from run of the mill flower metal crap are the heavier riffs and the awesome leads - Kai Hansen writes leads that fit so well in the context of the songs and don't sound like random wanking. Plus, instead of being a really good singer who sounds like a pussy, Kai Hansen is a rather rough and shitty singer who sounds completely insane. One of my favourite formulas, really.

define flower metal, i really dont wanna be sucked into a whole big nancy fest. I like happy powermetal, but i do draw the line. The only bands that are lighter than gamma ray that i listen to are probably dragonforce and elvenking.
