Getting a good Screamo/Rock tone out of a pod xt?

No Care Ever
I have a few bands that need a good sounding Screamo/rock tone. I would rather use a real amp for those kinds of bands, but i can only record loud stuff during the week since my studio is in a neighborhood, and the bands are coming on weekends.

I've gotten good metal tones out of my pod, but i'm worried about getting a really good rock tone out of it. I am shooting for similar to the album "Son I Loved you at your Darkest" by As Cities Burn.

any suggestions on a good starting point?

I'd definitely use one of the Marshall Models for that kind of tone, personally. I really like the Brit Silver myself for that kind of tone. If you can blend that with perhaps the Diamondplate unboosted, it would be great. You probably don't need me to remind you, but just in case, keep in mind to run the gain lower than you usually would on a metal setting.

I'd use Treadplate 4x12 cab or Brit V-30's.

I've been using the treadplate for this kind of stuff, but it's not quite what i'm looking for.

care to share any sample mixes?

Did you try the orange amp model?
I've gotten some pretty nice sounding rock tones out of that amp
I think it's called the Citrus something
I don't have my pod on me at the moment
Stick with the Treadplate 4x12 unless you are using external impulses
but I would definitely still quad track
unless you have successfully used another method to get your guitars to sound big in your other productions, I would stick with quad tracking
You still want the guitars to sound big, like in your regular metal mix, just with less gain

Layering probably seems the way to go for my situation...

I know that there is no rules..

But is there any methods to stick to for layering? Number of tracks panning etc?
