So I'm getting this PC with Vista. It's got a dual-core 1.8Ghz chip and 4 gigs of ram.
I have used Reaper 2.58 on XP for ages and I'm wondering if it would make a big difference in performance to format and put XP on this new comp and keep running the older Reaper or just keep Vista and upgrade to Reaper 3, or upgrade one but not the other. I only care about performance, my old setup already had all the features I need... was just lacking in power.

edit: I'm also aware that my 32-bit XP won't be able to utilize the full RAM.
