So for a while I've been at jazz standards and stuff to improve my theory/chord dictionairy
/ and to exercise my twiddly bits over melodic minor shizzle
anywhoo, this is mainly to the UK guys, is there any sort of ensemble where you can audition and possibly get the part (like an orchestra basically)
I looked at the national jazz orchestra but the bloody audition is £300
so are there any cheaper alternatives, I'd like to try my hand at a more relaxed gig instead of loud angry man noises
I'd like to get into one mainly just to do the gigs and stuff and keep my jazz playing at a nice steady level
