Getting MMF Bass Tone

New to these forums except for browsing, but as far as I can tell this is where I should post this.

I'm starting to do the production for my band, but at the moment have no clue about recording/mixing bass.

I was wondering if people could watch this video (you might get a couple of laughs out of it.) and then give me some tips on how to get a similar tone to the one at the end of the clip?

This would really help me out a lot, so thanks in advance to anyone who has any ideas.

(I have no amps, so will be DI'ing it. I have the default effects built into Logic, plus Guitar Rig and Pod Farm.)

Could you give us more info about those bass samples?
What strings were used?
what is the lowest note sampled?
does it include a CLEAN DI or is it only Distorted?

because there isn't any info

The thing is I want to actually learn how to mix bass rather than just use samples... plus I don't have the money to throw at samples and stuff.

yea i saw that chango bass and was interested but there is no info on anything also the mmf kits. tell his to add descriptions so people wont be to scared to buy it

^^^ does not include a DI. It comes with one nki and its super dirty and grindy. It sound good

He really needs to put more info on those samples. Is it WAV, TCI, GOG, processed or not, or rooms separate? I'd buy in a heartbeat if I had any clue to these things. I don't use Kontact so why would I risk the purchase if there's no wavs?
