First-off, what a SHIT film! UGH! Y'know, it almost had an ok, passable plot, it was just directed and written so badly that it ended-up having NO plot. Pity. Only 3 good things about it; A) MuDvAyNe was very clearly playing in the soundtrack. B) The naked chick was sexy as hell and C)........ because.
I must say! It is only the THIRD, yes! I repeat, the THIRD! ever film to EVER give me nightmares! Y'know why?

Now, you'd think with all the excessive blood and gore in modern horror movies that we've seen countless times, that we'd be completely unaffected by it by now right? Well, was I in for a shock! Ghost Ship may be an utterly shite film, but the first gory bit, y'know, that opening scene on the ship deck???........well......it put me off my doritos for a full 15 seconds. It shocked the hell out of me. There were blatant mistakes in that scene despite it's plausibility, but that wasn't enough to stop my jaw dropping open in utter horror. I won't spoil the scene for those who haven't watched the film, but my goodness, it's worth renting for the first 5 minutes! That first gory scene has fucking TRAUMATISED me!!!!!!!!!!!


Anyone else think similar???

It was utter shit...the only nightmares I had were about having to sit through the bilge again...

yeah first five mins were ok..but as you say didn't make sense...how did the little girl survive when people were losing legs????????

..and what a shite "shock" ending.......

I saw it opening night here in NY...I had a thread on it for a while on here, but I liked it! It had a couple dissappointing parts...but otherwise it was a decent film. Just the story line itself was good.
I will see it again Im sure...when it comes on rental or hbo or some shit...hehe .

....Not forgetting the middle as well, what a complete waste of time, typical hollywood shite horror film, no fucking story, overdone special effects and an end that makes you wanna puke.
