Gigantour

It appears Mustaine's new money-making scheme is to claim every Megadeth tour is "their last tour ever". lol

Please post the interview! .... or a link to it or something.
It hasn't been published yet and it's in Swedish, sorry, but believe me, Giigantour is go. Have no clue what other bands will be on the tour though, Peter didn't say/know.

I'll meet up with Mikaels wife at Metaltown today, can ask her.

Great lineup, but seeing Opeth play only a few songs again would be most disappointing.

I sure fucking hope its real! I can't wait to finally see Opeth! :)

Edit-

Doing some researching I'm pretty sure that this is going to be real. The interview coolsnow7 mentioned I found on google, check this:

MWE: What do you guys have in the works, do you have any new songs recorded? Are you planning any huge new tours?

GH: We've got some...we're going to Europe for a couple weeks in June, and we're working on some stuff. We might be going to Taiwan in August, and then we're going some more U.S. stuff I can't really mention right now, because I'm sworn to secrecy-that's in September, October.

FUCK YES! :D

Maximum Metal says these are the rumoured bands

MEGADETH
ARCH ENEMY
OPETH
ANTHRAX
BODY COUNT
SEVENDUST
NORMA JEAN

Hopefully Opeth gets seeded near the top & gets atelast an hour set. Tell Dave what's up Mike. Opeth deserves no less.

Last year they played some great venues, including the pavilion on the harbor in Boston. Man I'd love to see Opeth play there.

That lineup was posted in Bass Guitar magazine and Shawn Drover (drummer from Megadeth) denied it saying that "It's so not true, that it's funny".

I could definitely see Exodus and Anthrax on there, though.

Body Count and Norma Jean are definitely just some asshole trying to attract thugs and scene kids to the tour.

I really think he's talking about the tour w/ Hatebreed and Napalm Death that just got announced for the fall.

I dont like that order, th at puts Opeth and AE on the 2nd stage- their both too big to play 20-30 minutes each.

I think Opeth would be like a 3rd slot, with AE being a 2nd on the main stage. (meaning Opeth went on AFTER AE.)

I don't think it's worth going at all. I went last year to see Symphony X and Nevermore, and although I thought they destroyed the show, I was disappointed they only got to play for a very limited time (30 min a piece).

Opeth deserves better than that.

I heard somthing about Dragonforce also being on the bill, but I heard this long time ago (probably dumb Rumor).

I saw The Toronto Show last year would love to see the tour this year.

Yes, there was a rumor that Dragonforce would be on SOTU and/or Gigantour. I'm personally hoping to catch them at Gigantour, since SOTU doesn't play my area and they're on their way to the Ozzfest on the 18th here. I guess I haven't exactly missed it yet but I've got no ticket. And I wouldn't pay over $20 for the whole deal anyway so I guess I'm not going.

It's $12 just for parking, so unless the ticket is only $8 then no.
