Ok, I'm new here and I am need of some help.

I have been a fan of certain metal bands for 20 years now and it seems that there are countless bands that I've never heard of. I've always surrounded myself with Iron Maiden, Priest, Megadeth, and Metallica. I never ventured out from those bands. Since joining this forum recently I've been turned on to bands like Nevermore and a guy I work with loves Iced Earth. My question is this: what bands have I been missing out on being so narrow minded?

Here are a couple of new school bands you'd probably enjoy, given the old school bands you listed and associated songs you can find on youtube:
Steel Dragon [Blood Pollution]
Dream Evil [Book of Heavy Metal]
White Wizzard [High Speed GTO]
Final Stage [Game Over]
Primal Fear [Black Sun - if you like PAinkiller by Judas Priest)
Sword [Outta Control]

Skyclad (UK)
Candlemass (Swe)
Solitude Aeturnus (USA)
Ayreon (NL)
Blind Guardian (Ger), specially until ANATO
Testament (USA)
Heathen (USA)

Warlock (Ger)
Hammerfall (Swe)
Killers (Fr)
Loudness (Jap)

Sentenced (Fin) from "Down" to the last one for me
Pretty Maids (Dk)

if you already listen to maiden, you now simply need Blind Guardian and you'll be set.
