It's an absolute classic IMO and made my initial top 10 before I saw what I had missed. I think I'm going to follow TB's idea and post my list towards the end next time because clearly I did not have a good check on what was made in 1992.

Rage Against the Machine is not only metal, it's more metal.
I'm re-listening to it now and it's most definitely death metal.It is a thrash album. Thrash riffs make up the majority of riffs on the album.
