*t
his is a split with altar's EX OBLIVIONE, but some users specified the cartilage side.

the only other release to get more than 2 votes was samael's BLOOD RITUAL, which nevertheless only managed 4 points.

a much greater spread here, with 41 albums hitting 10 points (only 28 in 1986). the top ten had far less points meanwhile, with darkthrone's second place total here only being enough for fifth on the '86 list.

i'll post in a sec!

at the gates got 8.625 per vote which i believe is the highest on the list for an album with over two votes. so basically the people who like them REALLY like them and nobody else gives a shit. other albums to perform high on this metric are DIRT (8.5) HORROR OF THE ZOMBIES (8.25) and EPIDEMIC OF VIOLENCE (8). BLOOD RITUAL is obviously miles ahead at the opposite end of the spectrum.

One suggestion for the future is that there's a minimum number of albums to be listed (maybe 5). Listing only one album is kind of bullshitty.

I 2nd this.

That, or if you don't list enough albums, the albums you do list get the 3 or 3.5 pts or whatever the amount of points the albums get if you don't order them.

Aw damn, none of my picks made it.

yoda only naming one album is a bit faggy so i guess i'll stop accepting less than 5? didn't affect the results though.

That sounds reasonable.

Overall, I'm happy with list, as half of my picks made it, and all were in the top six. A few of the top 10 I've never heard (Psychotic Waltz, Destruction Hammer, and Solitude Aeturnus), so I've got some listening to do too.

maybe you should start actually voting you senile buck-toothed old scallywag.
First, a Tommy insulting another man's dentistry? Second, I treasure a lot of the music discussed here, but I'm too much of an indecisive lunk to properly list and rank a top ten metal records for an entire year, even less a top ten for a year as overflowing with quality releases as this.

lmao i meant tommy but yes it also applies to that

why in the fuck did you delete that post then repost it and force me to delete and repost my post also? lunk.
