i did a big ratings purge a few years ago as well (more than one actually) which i regret to this day. i did it because i'm too anal about ratings and i distrust my past self and decided some of them were unreliable but, like, the majority of them were probably fine. ugh.

lmfao I did that with movies kinda recently with the plan to rewatch them and re-rate them, made a list, lost the paper and haven't been fucked to fix it haha. I'll get around to the films eventually I guess.....

just had a look and, while a lot of them are blank 'cause i unrated them at some point, i currently have 1441 releases catalogued from the 2010s, and i know for a fact there's quite a lot i've listened to this past couple years that i haven't catalogued at all. so that equates to near 200 a year, although i should add some of them are singles. i wish i could say i liked (or even remember) most of them haha

Listening to a hundred albums over a 4 year period doesn't even sound shocking to me.

My autism is condensed to the 80s and early 90s though. I haven't heard nearly as many albums going beyond that. I bet you've listened to a lot more stuff overall.

EDIT: 302 releases catalogued on RYM from the 2010s, but the half are probably wishlisted/things I haven't listened to much if at all, and at least a third of the remaining probably non-metal, vs 1658 from the 80s and 2018 from the 90s.

For 2014 I have a very small amount of things rated 3/5 or lower so I've checked out roughly over 200 releases (not all are albums, many are EPs and demos) for that year over an 8 year period

How is it possible that you have checked out albums released in 2014 over an 8 year period while we are still in 2018? Are you this or does time simply pass twice as fast at the place where you live?
