Like I said before, the verses are the worst part of the entire album, way too fucking happy-sounding.

Feel free to hold in-crowd opinions because the song isn't "evil" enough or some shit.

"Evil" is pretty much a non-factor for me. iirc I've praised the first Megadeth album for sounding genuinely evil and hateful to me when I first heard it as a kid, I've probably tossed it out a few other times as well, but that's about it. And it's not like Persecution Mania has much in common with their first two releases to begin with.

the guy usually favors the poppiest/easiest to digest songs on most of these lists anyway dude. His taste in the subgnere is completely pedestrian. Wasnt too long ago that poppy flower metal was his main forte. now he thinks hes some kind of thrasher or something

Autistically missed the point, I'm shocked.

How the fuck is "happy sounding" a critique of the song and how does that even make sense to begin with?

The melody of the main riff and vocals sound happy. I'm not a musician or anything so I don't know why it sounds happy. Maybe it's in a key atypical of thrash, I don't know. But it sounds like it belongs it a trad or power metal album to me, not a thrash metal album.
