I said "1984" as a joke in reference to Orwell's novel of the same title because in the later posts in this thread, there was a little back-and-forth about novels having verisimilitude to be good, culminating in Sam's statement and I quote:
...novels-of-ideas that benefit from being unconstrained by literal reality...
and in light of the environment of today, my citing "1984" in reference to the previous posts was intended to come across as a sarcastic and therefore moderately humorous remark. I did not mean to confuse you and I do apologize if you did not find the aforementioned comment funny.
