Godspeed You Black Emperor

They are really awesome. I still need to check out "Do Make Say Think" and "Set Fire to Flames". "F#A#(infinity)" is a great start into Godspeed. If you can get your hands on the side-project, Molasses - "You'll Never Be Well No More", get it. It's very rare, since it's out of print, and a major departure from traditional Godspeed, but really good nonetheless. I'm glad to hear that there are other fans out there.

great.
My favorite songs from them are Antennas to Heaven and Sleep.

incredible stuff from their side project,"Silver Mount Zion":
*takes deep breath*
Thirteen Angels Standing Guard Round the Side of Your Bed
Sit around the Middle of Three Galloping Dogs

and the cd name is something like "He has left us alone but shafts of light sometimes grace the corners of our rooms"

heh. but anyways, similar bands include:
Anglagard (VERY highly recommendedm but hard to find)
Popol Vuh
Mogwai
Ozric Tentacles (sorta)

insrumental post everything.. thats what they play..
all releases are excellent -and they are one of the most breathtaking bands i have ever witnesed on stage ! a tromendous, religious experience
