goin to see korn tonight...

eh, i've still got a place in my heart for the angsty "chugga-chugga" nu-metal. didn't like break the cycle all that much.

that story about fred durst getting pissed at the "blasphemous" cover art for tormented was pretty much what made me give staind a listen in the first place, though

No no we aren't going on lyrics. It's a given that they're shit. And besides that song about the parents sucked.

The opener about drugs though, don't you live in the hood too? You can relate to that shyt nigga. And...it's not about the Lyrics laura. Picture the album cover and you have to be enveloped in the atmosphere.

I've never seen them, but I imagine that if the sound is good and the singer doesn't blow live, that low end would be pretty devastating and awesome to see/hear.
the low end is quite bowel shaking, only problems a) fieldy sucks 2) it drowns everything else out d) setlist already kinda sucked back then before they had 7 more shit albums

They put on a really good show, and now they have a synth/programmer guy live which sorta gives it a new dimension. The only problem was the setlist...they really need to learn how to choose the songs. They played Blind, Faget, Ass Itch, and Adidas from the first two albums and that was it. I was happy to hear Ass Itch, though. So I guess you could say the show was better and worse than expected. They would start with some good momentum and just when you started to get a little excited, they then kill it all by playing filler.

The only original members there were Fieldy and Jonathan Davis, but the new drummer was really great.

Oh yeah, a great show actually. Jonathan Davis is an excellent frontman.

Another thing...there was a very positive vibe from everyone at the show. I'd say 75% of the people there were our age or older and there were all kinds of people from black metal metalheads to your average rock fan. I think most of the people were there for the nostalgia purposes as well. Very few nu metal fans...I think everyone realizes how silly it got.
