Oh as far as that line between the glam fans and the thrash fans goes... I gotta say that I have seen absolutely no tension between them ever here. It's not the '80s anymore... most thrash fans now, even if they laugh at the glam bands themselves, seem have total respect for glam fans and even reckon its cool that they are waving the flag for the music they love.
The problem in the 80s was that alot of people into glam were just MTV followers listening to whatever was popular, so that's why they called them posers and stuff and had a problem with them. Obviously in 2005, anybody who has the balls to go out to rock & metal clubs wearing makeup, skin-tight leather, hairspray, bandana and Cinderella shirt is far from a poser and obviously a real music fan who loves the bands. I know because I walk around Melbourne looking like that, even if I'm going to a Megadeth concert (I went to that in leather pants, eye-liner, bangles & a 1989 Poison shirt!) or seeing a metalfest with mainly speed metal bands on! And if the thrash dudes in their battle jackets and Destruction shirts say anything at all, it's usually a compliment.
