Good albums with bad vocals

Pretty self-explanatory thread. What are some heavy metal albums that you really like because of the music, but can't stand the singing?

Here are a few of mine:

Threshold - Extinct Instinct: The music is pretty good Dream Theater worship without most of the wankery, but Damian Wilson tries to pull off a Robert Plant and can't pull it off. His vibrato is annoying, and he sounds a little whiny at times.

Vio-lence - Eternal Nightmare and Oppressing the Masses: Skill wise, Sean Killian is a terrible singer, but it is hard to imagine this band without him because he brings the band attitude despite his lack of singing skill.

Agent Steel - Omega Conspiracy and Order of the Illuminati: Nice thrash, but the singer is really annoying, especially when he tries to scream

Heavenly - Dust to Dust. Great power metal, but the singer kills the album with his high shrieks and the choir just never helps.

What he said. Gamma Ray is my favorite power metal band, but Kai Hansen's tone just sounds weird sometimes.

Kai is definitely a better songwriter than singer IMO. He's not a bad singer, but he's in the bottom half of power metal singers for me. And he's nowhere near as bad as Hansi Kursch.

I'm not a huge fan of some of the vocals on The Years of Decay

• Primordial - Gathering Wilderness. 80% of the time the singing is great, but the times when it's out of key, although probably on purpose, is too much to bear sometimes.

• Most death metal albums. Most of the vocalists simply lack character. Some exceptions are Demilich, Death, Cannibal Corpse

• Most black metal albums. Same as above. Exceptions are Graveland, Burzum, Mayhem with Atilla, Dimmu on Stormblast.

Morpheus - Son Of Hypnos

This is all that immediately comes to mind. The dominant vocal style is an irritating throaty shout/growl, similar to the vocals on "Clandestine" by Entombed.

most power metal and prog metal albums... I just can't get in to most of the vocalists although I won't say they're bad singers. just doesn't do it for me most of the time.

Mayhem/Attilla on DMDS ... Atilla is just horrible... i much prefer Dead or Maniac or anyone else... his vocals is what turned me off about that album...

Slayer? Not that I think the music's great but the singing is worse than the music and the music is considered classic by many people.
