Good Amplitube 2 settings?

No matter what I do I'm having a tough time getting really good heavy tones from Amplitube 2. I get fantastic slightly overdriven sounds, but it's not so easy for really heavy stuff.

Does anyone have some good presets?

Impulses.

Try the Suecof 5150 settings that are floating around on the Modern Hi Gain amp.

Hey dude,

Haven't got any presets but here's a little advice based on how I personally use Amplitube 2:

My personal preference is to use Amplitube 2 purely for the amps and bypass it's built in speaker simulator. I think the amps sound great.

In place of the speaker simulator I would use a free plug-in like Boogex or another program (KeFIR?) that I can use cab impulses with. Boogex has some nice impulses built in with it.

In the chain before Amplitube 2 in your DAW you could also try the free TS-1 / SD-1 plug-ins (on the SimAnalogue GuitarSuite site) as a boost. This helps in getting a HEAVIER tone. They sound different to the stomp boxes in Amplitube 2. Not necessarily better, but different. Give 'em a try.

I sometimes boost the input via the input knob too for a little extra gain depending on what guitar I'm using.

I've fiddled with the Parametric EQ in the effects rack as well which was quite nice but not 100% necessary for a heavy tone.

Today at work i was viewing a thread about amplitube where Kazrog posted a link to KVR and Jbroll had posted a screen shot of the Modern Hi Gain amp referring to it as 5150(recommending suecof settings etc..).
Now i can't find it WTF?
I've tried the god awful "you must wait 20seconds" search function with no success!
Guys please help!

Yeah, it's 5150ish and it works with the 5150 settings that were posted here a while back. Gain around noon, bass and treble high, mids pulled way back, presence brought up.
