good bands that tune to c# (standard or dropped)

A few that I know of besides bands already mentioned:

Amorphis - Tales from the Thousand Lakes
Baphomet - The Dead Shall Inherit
Garden of Shadows - Oracle Moon
God Dethroned - The Grand Grimoire
Krisiun - Conquerors of Armageddon
most Mourning Beloveth
Testament - The Gathering
Pungent Stench - Been Caught Buttering (I think at least a few of their others were tuned the same)
Venom - Black Metal
Bolt Thrower - Warmaster, probably a few others

It doesn't seem like this tuning is all that common these days in extreme/underground metal. I've heard it in more mainstream and alternative bands for the last decade, but most death metal is lower, and thrash and black are usually higher.

no. Prior to Dead Heart in a Dead World, all songs were played on six strings tuned down a half step (Eb)

They had at least one or two songs on Dreaming Neon Black that were at C# or dropped C#. But yeah they were Eb up till Dead Heart.

I know this is old, but I must point out that that's a pretty gay opinion, considering that Supertzar, The Writ, Megalomania, and Are You Going Insane, and The Thrill of it All are all awesome songs. :V
