Good idea or bad? Firepod and Mbx 2 for 002

Hmm, that's a tough one - if you wanna stick with PT, then I'd say go for it, as long as it's an even trade, cuz you can get the 002 modded by Black Lion Audio to make it actually pretty good.

It's not like I would have to stick with PT. The mbox works in cubase, why wouldn't the 002?

Have you gotten your MBOX2 to work reliably in Cubase? Mine (I'm on a PC, granted) has absolutely horrendous recording latency (though it's fine in PT, I guess they build-in compensation)

Yeah the mbox 2 works great in cubase for me. It has more latency than the firepod (7ms at 256 vs 5ms with the FP), but all USB devices I have owned have been that way.
