If anyone has a kick that sounds ANYTHING like that Gojira kick, PLEASE hook us up. That is probably the most bad-ass kick I've ever heard...

I'd pay the full price of SSD for that kick alone.

And i dont know how much Gojira that kick really is, simply because i never really listened to Gojira and never will.. but i want to remember that their kicks had a massive "OOMPH" with a real smack to it?

It's not much, but here is a kick sample I made by combining a miked kick from our demo sessions combined with a couple samples. I don't remember what samples they were. the miked kick tone was EQ'd and compressed pretty heavily. It's a straight even blend of the 3.

I use these for both kick and snare and they do me very well.

Here's my latest clip with them, this is 100% those samples for kick and snare, everything else is TMF. No guitars or bass yet I'm afraid.

Oh, and that's the kick down tuned by 36% in Drumagog as well.

The sample I posted is just the one sample. That's all I made for that session (I blended the sample with the mic). If I need a bit more variety in the kicks, I usually just manipulate aptrigga to change pitch by a couple % points.
