I'm always really impressed by how Schuldiner managed to write really cool "slow", catchy riffs, like the one in the intro to this song.
A pretty damn good album...

Oh I think it is, I could pin Das alte leid as starting like a Ebba Grön song as well, "Staten och Kapitalet" but that must be my imagination..

The site looks pretty good, but I think they chose the wrong song for download - I think Rail of Beyond would have served that purpose better (although I like The Needle the best, but it really isn't representative of their style).

Btw, did you know the band's temporary "work title" was "Wrightsaw" at some point? They recorded a couple more demo-songs under that name; I have them somewhere, but they aren't quite at the same level as those four on the promo.

Villain: I like "The Needle" pretty much, too, but I have so far "only" that rehearsal room tape from February or so. I was played the newly recorded songs in summer, but within a session of a lot of new stuff, so I don´t know all the songtitles exactly
I need to get the new demo, then we can discuss it again. No, I haven´t heard it when it had still the previous name, could be that it was mentioned, I am not sure.
