Lame Immortality? :p On a less humorous level, what does the song name mean? "Muffled scream(s)"? Something about screaming, I'm sure.

I feel like listening to heavy stuff and I'm listening to Mostly Autumn...
Meh.

I 'kin love the guitar sound on this album. Love Dickinson as well.

Ariiiiiiiise, awaaaake
The king in crimson comes

:D haven´t heard that_version of the bandname. There are couple of word-twistings in German that I heard, I dont even know what the bandname really means, but maybe rahvin´s French knowledge can help me out?
ravhinnn.....? :)

At the moment I am buried under promo-CDs which is not soo bad, compared to times when I had to beg for them. There also came in some stuff of a German metal-band, called The Anti Doctrine. Have to check that, don´t know yet.

EDIT: forgot: yeah, "Stumme Schreie" means something like "Silent Screams".

Sounds like a black metal band name to me.

Np: Bruce DickInSon - Book Of Thel

By the pricking of my thumbs
something wicked this way comes
And when sleep takes you tonight
will you wake to see the light...?

l'ame immortelle means "the immortal soul", and i was debating the l'ame/lame joke a few days ago with lina: we're both positive that back when the name was invented the bandmembers were too young and too illiterate in terms of the english language to have considered the option... besides, the pronounciation in french is completely different, and there's supposed to be a flex accent on the a.

...but i don't like the latest l'ame immortelle record that much. it's way too formulaic and repetitive.

I'll just keep posting :headbang:-smilies and listening to Bruce Dickinson as the every other post until rahvin starts deleting my posts. :D

Or until I get bored.
I have no idea what this song is about, but it sounds cool.

Lovers in the tower
The moon and sun divided
Let the fool decide

Let me be the first to say: What the fuck?

...

:headbang:

What, you're taken? Ooh, who is it who is it who is it who is it?

Who is iiiiiiiiiiit?

The intro to this one really reminds me of My Friend Of Misery.
Ah, I was thinking this one wouldn't be worth it, but there comes mega-heavy riff. :headbang:

thanks for translation! :) I know there is the accent on the A, but it´s not on my keyboard, so it is missing. Same as when I don´t have that_certain Swedish A all the time.

Haven´t heard the album, someone else of the writers got it, I just have the single. Usually I didn´t really like them, but this song I do like =) And well, your explanation to why they chose the bandname, that´s possible :D

i... i thought you knew? :err:

and the backing vocals. ooh, the backing vocals, my friend, they stomp on your heart and grind it to dust, they do! ;)

@fireangel: yeah, using special characters on public boards sometimes ends in people in korea seeing a white square instead of the intended letter, so it's useless to bother finding it or typing in the code.

A name is forming in the logic pathways of my mind, but no, I did, and do not, know.

Oh my. Punctuation...or commatuation? Jesus Christ, I'm thinking about weird shit today...just so that makes some sense (or anti-sense) I mentioned my invented word called "commatuation" because period is Punkt in german and thus "punctuation" sounded out of place.

I can't hear any backing vocals in Book Of Thel man. The choir-like vocals in the middle section do kick ass, and I just can't fathom some of those melodies...the "in famine and in war" and "something wicked this way comes" parts are so inspiring.

I'd say that this thread got relatively more interesting today. Must be the beer.
And that is a :headbang: thing.

Oops, I lied, I'm still listening to Book Of Thel.
You'd really think I was drunk, but I think I'm just being hyperactive.

I'm a tired male, alright. Reading between the lines is not what I do. I don't like guessing, either.
Nevertheless, woohoo.

Halo soundtrack, good stuff (at least for me anyway, mostly because I don't know any electronica):
