Bashing Rammstein is a waste of time, but with Metallica it is a duty of the old die hard fans. They suck big fucking industry dick and I dont believe them any of those psycho sessions bullshit caught on film only to be sold and resold and reresold. I wish them the best though - decent music.

Either you have understood the word "fluent" wrong, or you assume too much. Seriously speaking, I learned A-level German for 5 years since 5th grade, but didn't learn all that much because I am lazy. After that I took some B-level courses in senior high school, and I'll probably take part in the B-level finals this autumn.
But my German isn't very good, I couldn't hold a conversation much at all for example. Certainly not now when I haven't studied it for a while. I just love Erlkönig and have visited herzeleid.com.

LaRocque is assuming far too much as well, or just misinterpreting. Where did I say that I think that you don't know German? I don't think you do, but I didn't say so until now.

I don't get the Metallica bashing though. Well, I'll throw my own in for good measure. Some Kind Of Monster is pretty entertaining, you get to see a portion of the reasons on why St. Anger is as crap as it is.
That didn't feel too special...what do you get out of it?

One of my recent love affairs (well, last few months or so) ...there's so much greatness in this song. It's tender in the beginning, great vocal melodies in my 1st favourite part that I guess I'll quite below, great female vocals as well. Awesome guitar melodies all over the song, great fast-picked riff closer to the end in my 2nd favourite part and a wonderful ending with the violins (or whatever) together with more great guitarplaying. Epic.

i was cutting him some slack. we should be encouraging and forgiving against illiteracy, like in the "why can't we be friends" thread. not judgemental and mean-spirited. or else we'd all stop reading once we realize "know-it-all" is not hyphenated. but then we'd be real mean people. seriously.
