My KRK VXT6's arrived yesterday! But bigger than I imagined but dammmmm the detail! I put Meshuggah & Textures through it to see how it sounds. Wow meshuggah sound like utter shit through them! I like!!! Can hear so many little guitar mistakes in Nothing I was shocked!

They're gonna take some getting used...totally different to what I used to have but the detail is great. Only thing is its hard to get a sense of power//transients with them...but I think thats gonna work out for the best once used to them. Just strive to get it punchy. If it sounds good on them it should sound sweet on normal speakers.

Sucks that I have neighbours now Hopefully i'll be moving to a studio in spring time where I can unleash them some more!

as in, you don't hear the transients in the sort of detail you heard them on your old monitors?

Hmmm no the detail of them is there...they just don't pop out of the speakers as much. Though i havn't had a chance to krank them a little yet.

In theory though it does mean when you listen back on "normal" speakers the transients should be really apparent (as long as you don't over compensate).

I'm still getting used to them though

Know what you mean. I also have the VXT 6. I love them! Takes a while to get used to, but for now I couldn't think of getting other monitors..love these babies..
