Grand Morbid Funeral

I have no problems with the vocals so far, they fit the style of the new songs. There is no way in hell though that "Old Nick" can make any of the old songs justice sounding like that.

when i hear the new songs all i can think is man this would sound so much better with mike or pete or dan

even an unknown teenage amateur deathcore faggot can have more powerful vocals

The title track is very good, but I cannot stand the guest vocal retardation at the end.

Btw, I am a Nick Holmes fan now for Bloodbath!

Wasn't Chris Reifert from autopsy on guest vocals on some song? I haven't heard the title track but I am guessing it is him who you are speaking of since he sounds absolute crazy.

Around 4:30 or so on this song, you can tell when it starts for a short bit, after that I am not sure who is doing the yelling (which is better than the previous guy).

So is it Nick doing the vocals on the titletrack?

I assume for most of it, yes.

Now I have listened to the title track, sweet satan that is one epic fucking death metal song!

And that sounds very much like the autopsy guys in the end, both Chris Reifert and Eric Cutler are listed as guest vocalists on this album. :kickass:

Damn man every time they release a track it's better than the one before it. Nick's voice sounds better here too, either that or I'm just getting used to him more each time I hear a song. Lyrically this album is kind of weak but that's fine (I have a bit of a peev with repeating a song title over and over instead of changing it up).

You are complaining about the lyrics on a death metal album?? :erk:

You should be forced to listen to Celtic Frost's entire discography for a full year until you learn to appreciate the fine art of repeating the song title over and over as a refrain in a song!

Nah it's not a real complaint. I was just noticing that lyrically this doesn't have much variety in each song, and the lyrics don't paint much of a picture compared to RTC or NMF.

That still doesn't make a difference on the quality of the music and I wouldn't actually hold that against the album. Even if repeating song names drives me nuts. It's like when rappers constantly introduce themselves in every song, as if you don't already know what CD you are listening to (not that I would own such a CD).

It reminds me of the Alestorm album, they added some words at the beginning of each pirated song, somethhing like "Yarr, you are listening to the new Alestorm album, Blacksails at midnight, this song is called xxxxxxx.".
My friend, who is usually listening to rap music said "lol, they stole the introduction from rappers".

Yea, they did. Those bloody pirates :loco:

that's a "watermark" they record for journalist, so if the album was leaked, they could track who leaked it. It was recorded a bunch of different lines for different countries.

if you have a album with those recording, you most likely illegally downloaded. The actual album version doesn't have that.
