Recently I found some new bands that are not already too famous but very good.

I can highly recommend:

Lyranthe: http://www.lyranthe.com/
The singer sounds like the singer of Dead Soul Tribe and is the most pleasing element in this band to hear, imho. The music is kind of DT-like progmetal but not annoying-DT-like like... aah no they copied really bad. Their cd is 10 USD and through mailservice sending to Holland costs 5 USD.

Silent Edge: http://www.silentedge.com/indexflash.html
Neoclassical stuff from Holland. The compositions are great imho, though neoclassical sounds very neoclassical. The singer is pretty good too. And above all, they are from Holland! Check them out. CD costs 12 EUR.

Splinter: http://www.splinterprog.com/
They remind me of Transatlantic a lot! From Holland. Their mini-cd costs 5 EUR/6USD and the shipping is payed by the band.

Day Six: http://www.day-six.com
Though their song titles etc sound very neoclassical/fantasy-like, their music is really better then that. Take a listen to the samples and then order their cd maybe. From Holland too.

Greetings,

Michiel Borkent

I like the track "Through different Eyes". What can I expect of the rest of the album? Just more of the same? Or perhaps the songs are very different?

I like this neoclassical stuff. :-) Thanks for recommending this artist. I just bought the album and I think its great! Btw, I got an e-mail from Silent Edge telling me the price is EUR 17.75 if I were to order the CD. However, I bought it for a few cents more (EUR 17.99) directly from the Fame store in Amsterdam. Hmm, I've got to remember to check NLStore before I buy a CD. :-) I bought Sun Caged from NLStore...

What about the vocal part on those albums? I've been spinning some bands like Mind's Odyssey, Collage or Everon and most of the material exposed is quite worthy and gets you straight, albeit the vocals don't fulfill my expectations. I'm pretty interested in those guys resembling Transatlantic.
