I've been listening to:

Dream Theaters newest(?) album.
Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence. Its 6 songs on 2 CDs..yea..the sixth song occupies one CD all by itself (though it seems broken into parts). I have not stopped listening to the first CD. This may be my fave DT album so far. Has anybody else heard it?

In other news, I have been practicing guitar like a madman. One of the guitar rags transcribed the entire ending guitar duel from the movie crossroads. I have always wanted to learn how to play 'Eugene's trick bag'...so I have been practicing it like mad. Steve Vai is unreal.

Hopefully all this practice will help whip my chops back into shape for when we get back to recording.

...and that would be the first part I start practicing! When I am feeling limber, I can play the first half at about 3/4 speed. Still have not got that insane hammer portion that jumps all over the neck.

I've only heard the new DT songs that were played at the show. Otherwise I haven't heard the whole album.

I like DT alot, but for some reason I haven't gotten much past Images and Words yet.... I kinda fizzled on them after that...
