Obviously, my fanaticism of Accept has spilled over to the PPUSA kick-off promoter as he offered me the chance to be sponsors of Accept for the show. I get to go behind stage and meet the band, attend sound checks, to take digital pictures from behind the stage wall and help myself to the bar and food. I ACCEPTed his offer. I am tickled.

That's great to hear Bryant. Well done! :) I am looking forward to see Accept live again for the first time in almost 30 years! I believe that will be next month.

Going to New York myself. VIP etc :headbang: I don't see myself going back to a ProgPower unless it's under new management :saint:

Anyway, kudos I know you love Accept!

I think it is smart to jump on this "mini-tour." If the new Accept catches on, or if they decide to open for a band playing bigger venues, the upcoming world tour will be in larger venues. Going to see a band at a 7000 seat place is much better than a great big one in most cases. 7000 is a little big for me, but still much better than a 20,000 seat stadium. Unless you are going to De Pul Netherlands.... I think that one is 750 seats or so. PPUSA is played at a 1200 seat theater. It is the perfect size for my tastes. It is large enough for a nice stage and lighting, but small enough for the "intimate" feel. Bryant

Cool stuff bro. Wish I could go this year.

Hate you won"t be able to make it. : ( The main show isn't all that attractive to me. Seventh Wonder is quite good, but other than Vanden Plas and Pagans Mind, few prog-metal acts have impressed me live. I hope SW is another one of those exceptions.
Paradox (German thrasher band) has a really great guitar sound though. Those guys are veterans, so I think they might actually surprise some attendees. Hammerfall will probably be a good live act as well. Other than those three, I doubt I will care too much for many if the bands.

Glad you were able to get some tix for the NY show. I know it has already sold out according to Blabbermouth. Sorry you don't like PPUSA. I can't say I like the line-up every year, but I love the festival in general.

Well, other than Accept (Thursday pre-show) this year's lineup didn't impress. I'd also been twice before (2008 & 2009) so it was time to do something different. No biggie.

Anyway, 1 more week to go :headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang: I got my ticket the first day they went on sale. :heh:
