Sue, if you're looking for a carry piece with more stopping power than a .22, consider a .380. My summer carry piece is a Kel-Tec P3AT .380. It's light, has an integrated belt clip for carrying inside your waste band (lucky gun), and a .380 will stop someone a lot quicker than a .22.

i'll check out the .380. as it is, my current school situation has me about to move back in with my folks for a bit [walked away from a crappy job to push on with school]. my daddy has so many guns, protection wont be an issue.
