Totally OT, but a heard a nice little story that the 5150 was born after Eddie played a borrowed Soldano, after his old amp broke down, and liked it so much that Peavey reverse-engineered the amp.

I heard it's true
the 5150 still sounds quite different from the SLO (which again is a modded Marshall cirquit that again a Fender etc. )

So the preamp is based on the SLO, what is the poweramp!
I'm wondering how it compares to a lets say 5150 directly.... can you do clips of a 5150 recorded the sameway? It's always fun to compare amps recorded the same way!!
