Ok, a very hard semester ended yesterday, so I can finally play again.
Now I can try my toneport out properly and I decided to wake up this old game (nick did it before me though). It was always a good opportunity to get opinions about tones and mixes.

I recorded the first bit of hourglass, a little bit more than last time when I used VST plugins for distortion. PLEASE comment on the mix and the tones, I need input for the guitar sound, especially from the POD/Toneport users, but from the others too.

Inb4 "play tighter", I already know that... but LoG is not that easy to play perfectly tight.

damn dude!! that was excellent! the tones and the mixing were very well done. The only think I could suggest (but this is just my preference) is that the guitars could maybe have a brighter tone, but just a bit. They were really good anyway. And nice playing, as always.

Thanks for your comments. I think I try out a brighter tone on the next recording. And maybe I should turn the volume of the snare a bit down and the volume of the guitar up, or add more mids to the guitars. I listened to it again with fresh ears and the guitars aren't present enough in the mix.
