she seems cool so far. i didn't really talk to her much because i got back from Maine lateish, and she spent most of the evening building her bed with her parents. once they left, she came downstairs and spent the next couple hours outside with Bill smoking cigarettes! (she had quit, but i guess started again yesterday)

i think, even though i'm not at the point you guys are yet, i kind of understand--it's probably similar to the way i view "two people in one room" roommates. never again.

i've never had bad roommates. i mean, i've had roommates who were weird and stuff but like, i guess i give off enough of a vibe that they don't cross the line.

* she recently had laser eye surgery and no longer wears glasses. her entire family has perfect vision, but when she was a kid, she was into weird medical stuff and, like, wanted crutches and things like that. so she faked having bad vision, purposely botched an eye exam, and got glasses. which subsequently ruined her vision. hence the need for laser surgery.
