I come before all ND listeners to request of giving me song names to start myself off. I have heard a lot about Novembers Doom but i have never heard any of their music. So i am very interested to see what they are like. If anyone could suggest a few songs, or even an album that would be great

From the earlier i would recomend you to start with
Not The Strong
Broken
With Rue And Fire

And then the album Reflecting In Grey Dusk, Best of/Compilation 2004

If you are new, definitely start with Pale Haunt.
It will probably be the easiest to find.
Best Buy carries it.

Me too!!! And being from Chicago, I have "known" of the band for many many years. Just never got around to checking them out.

Though most people get into local bands by seeing them live, and as Larry has said here before, they do better out of town than in Chicago.
(seems like lots of bands are bigget outside of their hometowns).

Regardless, the Pale Haunt Departure is an amazing album and the perfect starting point for any Novembers Doom n00b.
