Tool is one of the most overrated rock bands in history.

I would have to disagree with you on that one. Tool is very good. And whoever said Nirvana was overrated they are correct in my opinion. Soundgarden and Alice in Chains were much better.

I really don't see anything wrong with some hair metal . Staind isn't that bad of a "rock" band. I wouldn't consider Staind metal at all.

i think you mean Nirvana. they stole all the praise that should of went to Alice in Chains.

And Pearl Jam and Soundgarden as well, although neither suffered as much from being in Nirvana's shadow as Alice in Chains.
Tool does make good music and Maynard is awesome but they are overrated. Doesn't meant they're trash, though.

i like his solos though they are all the same

wah effect wammy bar dive
two scales
some hammering
flanger
pitchbending effect
harmonic pedal effect
into predictable riff

(i think he's a pretty good guitarist though)

i still don't mind audioslave though but i will say that Soundgarden and RATM are better and Morello's solos weren't that good though...it was one note with different effects

Creative, yes, but he's did about all he could do in Rage and now in Audioslave he kinda sucks, especially since Chris Cornell is just fucking around and not singing to the best of his ability
