I didn't change the settings on the amp (Bogner), so the differences just come from the wood/construction etc)

cool of you to share... Interesting what small difference there is between the sound of the guitars. Just shows how little EMG81 are effected by body material and such.
The custom shop RR was the one that stood out the most with a bit darker sound.

The rest are too dark imo with the M1 a bit harsh too

Eclipse for me, though they all sound good. The MI sounds thick but the palm mutes are boomy.

The MI btw is the guitar I used for all the Alestorm RH guits (except two songs which were RR1).
it had 18v 81 then though

I've added my all time fav guitar to the first post...
now I wonder if I have to re-record all the rhythm guits I recorded yesterday (http://www.ultimatemetal.com/forum/...s/549024-quick-test-bogner-engl-new-post.html) cause I love this guitar so much.....dunno if the difference will be worth it, but I do fell the urge..I just don't have the time to re-record...cuntfuck

the Painkiller sounds boomy in the low end. if not for that, it sounds great. but my fav was the KV-2. very clear and defined.

I like the Robin best. It has good clarity. Second to that, the Eclipse or MII.

no, sorry, got none in my guitars atm...
just got the BK as my only passive, cause I wanted to try them...while they're good the aalt8 would still be first choice for passives

Yeah the DIs might show the differences more clearly and people can play them trough their familiar setup.
