Guitar Editing

hello

Fucking hell :yow:

Wouldn't it be easier to get them to re-track the guitars just a bit tighter?

Also, is that a windows or mac your using in this screenshot?

As he is using the alienware theme, and the signs to Close, maximize and minimize are in the upper right corner i'd say it's Windows.
Plus "notepad" is opened - that's a windows programm.
And who would use the Windows live messenger on a mac ;)

last but Not least: there is no "Windows Explorer" for mac, thank god

It wouldn't be easier for him to retrack because this is an intercontinental job, and the musicians are fucking appauling, I heard the unedited track, and LULZ ensued.

But yeah, it is a lot easier to edit the DI's and not the actual amped signal.

In terms of muting out gaps between tight breakdown parts etc, is simply cutting at the end of the note/s the best way to do it? I don't reamp (so cutting the D.I isn't possible).

I use Pro Tools volume automation for this, turning the volume completely off for the gaps.
