i know they use the boss heavy metal hm-2 pedal
and i am thinking about buying one for me...
but what about the boss metalzone???
i really like the sound of nmf album.
but maybe the boss metalzone is better than the hm-2...
more like.. versatil and... well... agressive...
can someone help me...
witch pedal is best to play death metal ???
 
I have both and it really depends on what tone you're looking to play.

If you overlay the HM-2 with another pedal JUST RIGHT, you get perfect Sunlight/Entombed tone. Otherwise, it's a great pedal to cover Black Sabbath on.

As for the Metalzone, I just bought one and I'm loving it. I can closely emulate the Sunlight/Entombed sound, and if I turn my shitty 15 watt amp up all the way, the distortion naturally breaks. Other than that, the metalzone is a kickass pedal for playing metal with...

we did play on HM-2's at wacken. actually mixed them with GT-5's (an older model of GT-3), so that works. but a marshall tube amp is obviously the #1 choice.
