Wondering if you guys can recommend a decent guitar for drop tunings (strat style body) that has a fixed bridge? I am looking to spend around a grand for something decent. I have a ESP KH-2 that has a Floyd for regular tunings but wanted a separate guitar for the drop C stuff.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Drop C you could go with anything....

My ESP MH-1000 is tuned to dropped C, and my new custom is tuned that way also. I suppose a guitar with 25" or longer would be best, but you really don't need to go as far as getting a baritone only tunning down that far.

Try to avoid Floyd's for any rhythm playing.

this is unequivocal truth...

although i must say i used my floyd-equipped jackson from time to time for rythyms, but only when really necessary

Thanks for the reply guys, I'll try the ones mentioned. I really wanted to have an exclusive guitar (without floyd) for the drop C rhythm stuff as I have my KH2 with a floyd for regular tunings.
Take Care.
