Guitar Instrumental Mix-DI's included.

Ok, not really meant to be a mix to show my mixing skills. I just used these tracks to see how my Mesa V-Twin and Rocktron Gainiac perform.

https://soundcloud.com/jweckhardt/sets/comparison-between-mesa-v-twin

Guitars re"amped" through: ADAT->O1V->pedal->O1V-ADAT
Bass: same as guitar: Line6 HiWatt 100 with Vetta Comp
Drum: Akai XR-10 (kick), Boss DR-550 (snare), Cubase Groove Agent One (toms/cymbals)

No FX's, no reverbs, no overdubs
Side-chain compression on guitars controlled by kick and snare

And yup, I created a forum-account just for this :D

iraobryan: Like the rythm-guitars, but the lead sounds a bit too dry for me.

But then again, I like my guitars to sound really destroyed.
Did a serious mix with the same tracks as in my Mesa vs Rocktron. Now I only used the Mesa-tracks with some EQ-in, some pannings, a bit of a delay and refining the drumsound a bit.
Feedback is really appreciated!

Thanks! The lead sound in my version is definitely not my favorite either. I hadn't tried a cleanish type lead sound before, so I figured what the hell. I will be redoing the lead reamps.

I like the panning and effects on the leads in your version!

After a while my cpu gets so high it's hard to mix a song, but this is what I got

Here's my shot, reamped with a redeye to 5150 and vader cab. Got surprisingly good results with the vader, most people don't like them for some reason

Here's my attempt. Decided to leave the effects off the guitars, I think they sound better that way.
