Guitar mixing curiosity

I have noticed that when seeing stems, guitars always come in only TWO tracks which makes me wonder if they are two tracks bounced from double tracked guitars. So my question is do you guys:

Apply 4 podfarm amps to 4 seperate tracks

OR

Appy 2 podfarm amps to 2 bounced double tracks

I have tried both methods already and discovered what is effective for me, however its always interesting to know what others do

i dont quad track guitars so there is guitar L track and guitar R track then a lead in the dead center. each track has its own instance of podfarm on its channel strip.
