Yeah its the only way I can remember things. Scoring it out is fine for single tracks, but gpro holds things together.

I used to submit transcriptions to MySongBook when I was in my most productive phase of life. Now I just write riff or two whenever I want to save them.

Guitar Pro's awesome! I downloaded the zip file of the whole archive when I got version 5 - so many Megaman songs!

I like it because I can remember riffs and melodies I write, and because you can quickly make backing tracks to practice over.

Guitar Pro + Transcribe! is a killer combination. To make it holy trinity itself you have to open SyX songs in Transribe.

I prefer version 4 to version 5. Maybe I just need to change settings though.

Otherwise it's a great program, use it all the time

MrFast, it's a program to slow down CD / mp3 (or whatever) speed plus it has nice features like karaoke to remove vocals. And you can tweak the EQ and tuning.

I recommend it highly.

I downloaded GP5 on Limewire, but it doesn't friggin' work. The sound and everything is ok, but the notes don't show up on screen.

why not buy it? it's not that expensive. and if you use it lots, it's only fair tbh.

That happens to me when I reformat the computer and run it without reinstalling. If you have a version that doesnt require an install then thats probably why it isnt working.
